Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain revealed that Fortis Healthcare has recently started surgeries at Cardiac Care Centre at Coronation Hospital

Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain revealed that Fortis Healthcare has recently started surgeries at Cardiac Care Centre at Coronation Hospital at government rate. The Centre is also providing free dialysis to 65 BPL families and the Cardiac OPD service is available free of cost to everyone for first half.
Chief Secretary, during the review meeting of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project on Wednesday at Secretariat further disclosed that at present there were 98 PPP projects in pipeline worth Rs. 4,875 crores in the state and by end of this year further investment commitment of Rs. 564 crore was possible through closure of 36 projects which shall result in total investment of Rs. 1,866 crore. He said that 11 projects worth Rs. 117 crore were operational and agreement for 9 projects worth Rs 501 crore had been signed which were underconstruction. Bidding of 7 projects worth Rs. 684 crore had been completed and agreement was due to be signed. 30 projects worth Rs. 875 were under bidding process and 41 projects worth Rs. 2,698 crore had been conceptualized. Mr. Jain said that project agreement for 5 new projects worth Rs. 59 crore had been signed. The projects included Nephro Dialysis Unit in Haldwani, Solid Waste Management in Dehradun, Mobile Medical Vehicles in all 13 districts, High Security Plates on vehicles and Cardiac unit in Coronation Hospital. He said that this year agreement has been signed for five new projects worth Rs. 154.31 crore including Saryu Ghati and Eastern Ram Ganga Hydel Projects worth Rs. 117 crore, Ramnagar Bridge worth Rs. 26 crore, Solid Waste Mangement Project worth Rs. 9.31 crore at Nainital and Online Bus Ticket Booking System worth Rs. 2 crore.
Chief Secretary Jain said that 9 projects worth Rs. 684 crore for which agreement had been signed included 21 MW Khutani Mini Hydro-power project worth Rs. 190 crore, 11.10 MW Shera Ghat Hydro-power project worth Rs. 117 crore, 19.80 MW Belgad Project worth Rs. 145 crore, 19 MW Nayar Mini Hydro-power project worth Rs. 174 crore, 4 bus terminuses worth Rs. 30 crore, Solid Waste Management project worth Rs. 16.51 crore at Haridwar and Diagnostic Centre worth Rs. 12 crore at Kotdwar. Mr. Jain said that 28 projects worth Rs. 379 were in pipeline till June 2012 and by end of this year 36 projects worth Rs. 564 crore were expected to be completed.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Planning S Ramaswami, Principal Secretary Industry Rakesh Sharma, Principal Secretary Health Dr. Ranvir Singh, Secretary Tourism Dr. SS Sandhu, Secretary Irrigation NS Negi, Secretary School Education Manisha Panwar, Secretary Urban Development Dr. Umakant Panwar, PPP Expert Sumit Barua and other senior officers.
