Mega Industries project for big industries

Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that the State Government would
prepare a Mega Industries project for big industries and separate
department would be set up for small and micro industries. He said
that the State Level Environment Evaluation Authority would be given
statutory status.
Chief Minister Bahuguna reviewing the meeting of Industry and Small
Scale Industries Department at his residence on Wednesday said that
the subsidy given to Khadi products would be increased to Rs. 5 lakh.
He said that a concrete action plan has to be chalked out to attract
entrepreneurs from the country and abroad. He said that approval has
been given for SIDCUL Phase-2 at Sitarganj for which NPCC would act as
its consultant agency. Mr. Bahuguna said that Sitarganj would be
developed as Auto-hub. He said IIM was being established in 200 acre
land at Kashipur and educational activities would be developed in 250
acres of land there to develop it to a knowledge hub.
Chief Minister Bahuguna directed the officers to implement Single
window System and redress problems of entrepreneurs on priority basis.
He said to empower State Level Environment Evaluation Authority; it
would be conferred statutory status.
Mr. Bahuguna approved grant of Rs. 4.5 crore under Integrated Hill
Industry Policy. He instructed the officers to form separate Mining
Directorate to increase revenue resources. He directed the Mining
Department to follow scientific ways so that mining does not affect
environment and more revenue was generated.
Mr. Bahuguna said that to encourage small and micro industries in the
state a separate department would be set up with project worth Rs. 10
crore under it. He said that Khadi Village Industry and Small & Micro
Industry maintained coordination and develop a common brand so that
their products could be marketed efficiently.
Chief Minister said that helo-drums would be established at Selaqui,
Haridwar and Pantnagar so that better connectivity could be provided
to entrepreneurs.
The meeting was attended by Small Industry Minister Harishchandra
Durgapal, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain, Principal Secretary to
Chief Minister DK Kotia, Principal Secretary Industry Rakesh Sharma,
Principal Secretary Planning S Ramaswami, Secretary Small Scale
Industry Vinod Fonia and other senior officers.
