Mini tube-well constructed with the budget of Rs. 32.30 lakh at Bandarwali Gulli


Planning and Sports Minister Dinesh Agarwal inaugurated mini tube-well constructed with the budget of Rs. 32.30 lakh at Bandarwali Gulli, Lakhiwala Bagh on Friday. This project will provide regular water supply to 1,000 families. The area being located in the height was facing water problem during summers so far. The Minister also laid foundation stone of drinking water improvement projects pegged at Rs. 26.45 lakh at Gurudwara Colony and Rs. 12 lakh project at Khatta Colony at Turner Road.
Mr. Agarwal said that it was the priority of his government to provide water and electricity to the genera public. He revealed that a master plan for regular supply of water and power was being prepared.
          Mr. Agarwal stating that hydro-power projects were the reliable source of revenue for the state said that stalling of the projects had resulted in loss of Rs 25,000 crore exchequers to the state.
          The Planning Minister directed the peyjal officers to run the tube-well at Lakhibagh for 4 hours each in morning and evening. Meanwhile, he assured the residents of Turner Road to construct 29 tube-wells and 24 overhead water tanks in heir areas.
