The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises promotes schemes/programmes that have special dispensation for women entrepreneurs in the North-Eastern Region leading to more employment generation for women of these region.
The state wise information relating to North-Eastern Region in respect of number of enterprises , total employment, and employment of women as per the latest Census of MSME (Fourth Census ) conducted with reference year 2006-07 wherein data was collected till 2009 and result published in 2011 is:-
